Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test is a computer-based online test that assesses the candidate’s knowledge, reasoning, and analytical abilities in physics, chemistry, mathematics, English, and logical reasoning. The test is based on the higher secondary curricula in India and abroad.

BITSAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2024 requires the candidate to have a minimum of 75% or more in PCM/PCB in aggregate and a minimum of 60% or more in individual subjects (PCM/PCB) in the 12th class. PCM means only the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. PCB means only the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. PCB candidates are eligible to apply only for the B.Pharm. Programme.

BITSAT 2024: Exam Pattern

The BITSAT exam pattern is designed to test the candidate’s proficiency in various subjects. The test includes Physics, Chemistry, English Proficiency and Logical reasoning, and Mathematics/Biology parts and has a duration of 3 hours. All questions are of the objective type (multiple choice questions) and are based on the current NCERT syllabus. There is no sectional time limit, which means candidates can attempt any section first.

Each session of BITSAT-2024 will be of 3 hours duration (without break), comprising the following 4 parts:

Part I : Physics
Part II : Chemistry
Part III : (a) English Proficiency and (b) Logical Reasoning
Part IV : Mathematics or Biology (For B.Pharm. candidates)

All questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with a choice of four answers, only one being correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 3 marks, while each incorrect answer has a penalty of 1 mark (-1 mark). No marks are awarded for questions not attempted. While the candidate can skip a question, the computer will not allow the candidate to choose more than one option as the correct answer.
